The woodland theme is proving quite popular this year…
And although I’m not usually one to follow trends,
It’s hard to resist cute little critters.
Since I shared my Shabbilicious Woodland Tree on Tuesday, I’ve received a lot of enquiries regarding the owls and how to make them.
I was planning to use these as a printable pattern packet for my Boutique.
But it is Christmas…
And in the spirit of giving, I’m giving them to you as a gift!
They are free to print out for personal use, but are not for profit or resale.
There are four individual designs on one printable A4 sheet.
I printed my owls on matt photo paper, then cut them out and adhered them to 3mm MDF using watered down white glue and a squeegee. Next I cut them out using a scroll saw.
If you don’t have access to a scroll saw you could adhere them to heavy card and cut out with a sharp craft knife.
I drilled a small hole in the top of each owl to place a hanger through.
For an extra icy touch, (just because I’m loving the winter theme) I popped a little glue on their heads and dipped them in Epsom Salts.
