With Mother’s Day just a few days away, I thought I’d share a few last minute handmade gift ideas with you today.
When I was a young girl my mother liked handmade gifts for Mother’s Day.
It’s a tradition that has endured through the decades and one that I encouraged my girls to do too.
Personally, I don’t believe Mother’s Day is really about the gift.
It should be a special day to recognize the devotion of our mothers… a day that says ‘thanks mum for spoiling us with love and care’.
I’m sure most mothers would appreciate a big hug, kiss and time spent with their family rather than an expensive store bought gift… well, I know I would.
What could be nicer that a little something made by hand with love!!
I designed this vintage tag for anyone who might like to download and print it.
Simply click to open a new window and right click to save the full sized graphic to your computer. The graphic is for a large 15 cm (6”) high tag, but you can make it smaller in a word document. Print off onto light weight card or on matt photo paper, then mount on card.
Do you need a quick, last minute handmade gift?
Here’s a few ideas from Shabby Art Boutique…
Present mum with a bouquet of chocolate flowers
Make your own quick and easy scented room spray
or tell mum you love her with a hanging wood heart
