In July 2013 we moved from our family suburban home by the beach to our business premises, which is a holiday resort in the same coastal town on the mid north coast of New South Wales, Australia.
Our new home is a two-story townhouse, which is now undergoing a major overhaul. The bones of the building are good; with a real Scandinavian feel, including exposed timber ceilings, wood floors, a two-story loft room and an attic style second level.
Most of the fittings are original and long overdue for a transformation. So in October last year we decided to start making-over a whole house… and because this is a short term living arrangement, it had to be on a budget.
It’s been a very slow ‘work in progress’, with each DIY job having to fit in around running the resort and peak holiday periods, but finally it is starting to come together.
One of the first rooms to be completed was transforming an upstairs bedroom into a craft room, so I could continue to be creative.
